English Winx Club magazines can be purchased at
Pelican for under 4$ USD from Singapore. They only have about six magazines up but I'm guessing that there will be more posted as time goes on. They also don't correspond to the original Italian order but at least they are translated.
Is pelican a legit site? Can you use PayPal? Is the shipping outrageous?
ReplyDeleteIf those questions have good answers, HECK YES I'M BUYING THOSE.
Think about it: it's shipping from Singapore. The price is probably slightly expensive but what isn't? If you have worries, contact the company. They have a street address. They also take Paypal and Visa.
ReplyDeleteI just bought 2 magazines from their site. I'm pretty sure it's legit, because I was told all legit shopping sites have their URL change from "http" to "https" when you checkout, which it did, but I heard that from the internet, so who knows? Yes, you CAN use PayPal. Trust me, that was their main Credit Card they used. They also use Visa and some others. And your last question...I only bought 2 magazines, but eneded up having to pay 15 dollars in shipping. THAT was outragous to me.But it WAS shipped from Singapore.

I'm not surprised at that shipping. I've bought enough international stuff to expect high shipping. But at $4 each, no matter the shipping, I'll be getting at least a couple of these. I'm all about Winx magazines right now, and English ones are too good to pass up!
ReplyDeletewhy does it say red devils??
ReplyDeleteThat's the comic inside.
ReplyDeleteOn average, if I were to buy a Winx comic here in Canada, 9.30$ before taxes and that is the actual price marked on the comic so what you just bought is a pretty good steal. You have to consider that Amercan comics are only about 30 pages long while the Winx ones are about 50 and there is a lot more competition in Europe between comic companies (because there's more publishers).
ReplyDeleteOh, its those 3 again >> Where's Tecna, Musa and Layla?
ReplyDeleteMore cheap winx stuff for me to buy!! I was so surprised that iTunes had the two specials really cheap!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if that is going to be their price for ever, but I jumped on it before it went away!

I'm from Singapore! Yes, Singapore does sells these magazines monthly. I think they are selling at number 50 or something, but trust me, it's still Enchantix. It's sells at S$6.50
ReplyDeleteThis is a really great deal, normally US comics are about 22 pages long (except in the case of annuals which are 2x the size) and sell for $3.99 plus tax and sometimes reprints of translated comics are $2.99 plus tax.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, it's great to see English versions of the comics, I will have to order some :)
